Come help us celebrate our 32nd Anniversary all weekend at the Hall. Tickets are available now for Todd Snider and  Neal McCoy.  And be sure and check our website for info on our free shows with David Insley, The Band of Heathens, Elana James and Bugs Henderson this weekend!

.

Elana James' long awaited new CD is out and she'll have them for sale at her show on Sunday, May 6th (1pm). The newest member of Elana's band, the Continental Two,  is former band mate from Hot Club of Cowtown, Whit Smith. Some of you will also recognize bass player Beau Sample, who fronted the band Cave Catt Sammy several years ago.

Bleu Edmondson is releasing his new CD "Lost Boy" at Gruene Hall on Friday, May 11th (8pm). A long time mainstay of the Texas music scene, Bleu describes his sound as “Country rock with Texas soul". Come hear him and pick up a copy of the new cd.  Tickets are $10 and available at the door only. Zack Walther and the Cronkites open the show.

Chris Knight's new CD, "Enough Rope" is doing well and he returns to Gruene Hall on May 18th (8pm). Hailing from Slaughters, Kentucky, Chris's songwriting often draws comparisons to Steve Earle, Fred Eaglesmith, and John Prine - not bad company to be in! Tickets are $12 at the door only. Brian Keane opens the show.

The Old 97's made some new fans and satisfied their loyal following when they recorded their live album, "Alive and Wired" at Gruene Hall in 2005. From Dallas, TX., the band was formed in 1993 by singer/guitarist Rhett Miller and bassist Murry Hammond.  They quickly became one of the most popular bands in the 1990's alternative country movement's rock & roll wing, drawing their influences off of classic country, bar band rock, and the raw sound of early punk. Touring only occasionally this year, don't miss your chance to see these guys. Somewhat new on the scene but with a familiar name, Tyrone Vaughan opens the show, making his Gruene Hall debut. Tyrone is the son of Jimmy Vaughan and nephew to Stevie Ray. He's making his own way with his brand of rock and blues.

It's always a pleasure when the subdudes come to town. One of New Orleans finest bands is also a Texas favorite. This time around they'll be showcasing songs from their soon to be released CD, as well as bringing back some of the old favorites. Tickets are on sale now! Bluesman Seth Walker opens the show.

The Band of Heathens -  Monday Night Special!

The Band of Heathens are back this summer for their Monday night special song swap. They'll play every Monday night starting May 28th (except for July 30 & Aug. 6th) from 7:30-11:30 and there is no cover charge! What makes it special? Over the past year, the newly formed and highly talented "Heathens"  have developed into one of Central Texas' favorite bands. It's the songwriting of Ed Jurdi, Gordy Quist, and Colin Brooks, along with 4 part harmony (bass player Seth Whitney sings along), that contributes to the overall quality of the band. Come be a part of the laid back fun and listen to the band swap songs, jokes, lies, and sometimes instruments. And expect a special guest every once in a while too!
