aaaFriday,
March 4th (tickets at the door only)
One of Gruene Hall's favorite performers takes a break from his "tour break" to come play at one of his favorite venues. Latest news from radneyfoster.com is that Radney and his son Julien have just finished helping on a project called, "Kids Country Hits 2", where Radney takes the lead vocal on Pat Green's "Wave on Wave", and 13 year old Julien can be heard trading verses and in the choir. Many of you already know that the title track of Pat Green's new album is one of his favorite Foster songs, "The Lucky Ones." Radney's own latest release And Then There's Me: The Back Porch Sessions, is an acoustic effort, and features some of his greatest hits. Check his website for purchase information, as this is an internet only release. Don't miss the opening act, The McKay Brothers, whose harmonies and music might remind you of an earlier duo called "Foster and Lloyd"! Show starts at 8 pm and tickets are available at the door only.

aaaMarch 12th SOLD
OUT
Occasionally, in between newsletters, shows will get booked, tickets will go on sale, and the show will sell out before we even mention it in the Gruene Texas News. Such is the case with the REK/FJE show. All the more reason to check our website on a regular basis if you don't want to miss out. These 2 great songwriter/performers, one a Texas legend, one a Canadian legend, come together for what's already being called the co-bill of the year. For Eaglesmith, the show is just one of his performances in a 4 day weekend called The 2nd Annual Fred Eaglesmith Texas Weekend. For Keen, it's a chance to team up with an old buddy for a great night of music. Make sure you stay tuned to our website for the latest news!

It's hard to believe that it's already been a year since TSN's celebrated its 20th year of its annual concert and food drive. But here we are and it's time again to get out of the house and listen to some great music while supporting a cause that addresses a basic need for many Americans. We urge all of you to bring as many cans of food as you can for the Hays County Food Bank, and we'll give you 2 dollars off of the cover charge if you bring at least 2 cans. A portion of the proceeds also go to the food bank.
For the second year in a row, the event is the culmination of the Fred Eaglesmith Texas Weekend, in which people from all over the US, Canada, the UK and Australia will be attending. Come celebrate, make some new friends, and hear some great music provided by Warren Hood & the Hoodlums, Vince Bell, Jon Dee Graham, Walt Wilkins, Susan Gibson, Brandon Rhyder, Slaid Cleaves, Chip Taylor & Carrie Rodriquez, Guy Forsyth and Fred Eaglesmith. Advance tickets and more info available at http://www.gruenehall.com/tsn2005.html

Creager's latest release, "Live Across Texas", recorded at several dance halls across Texas including Gruene Hall, and released in Sept. 04, has already received local awards for live album of the year last year. But you can hear the real thing when Roger returns for his traditional March 2-night stand. His unleashed stage presence and down-home energy make it clear that he and his tight-knit band are doing what they love and what they do best. And he's picked some great acts to join him on both nights, with Max Stalling opening on the 18th and the Wayne Mills Band opening on the 19th.
