Charlie Robison

vvvFeb. 4th  get tickets

Charlie Robison's first studio release since 2001's Step Right Up, called Good Times, is now out on Dualtone Records and getting rave reviews, being purported as his best writing to date. This latest release finds Charlie with a few years of marriage and fatherhood under his belt, making a transition from 'life of the party' to 'mid-life' adulthood. Not to say that the party's over folks.....On Good Times, Charlie shows a bit of what makes his live performances memorable events, and shows more strength and charisma than he has on any of his past efforts. Texas has long embraced Bandera's son, and it could be with this release, that the rest of the world will catch on to the charisma of this Texas-bred country musician. Patricia Vonne opens the show.   Get tickets

Delbert McClinton

vvvFeb. 5th  Get tickets

The venerable Delbert McClinton is a legend among Texas roots music aficionados, not only for his amazing longevity, but for his ability to combine country, blues, soul, and rock & roll as if there were no distinctions between any of them. Now in his 4th decade of recording, and his 2nd decade of playing at Gruene Hall, Delbert is just back off the boat from another successful Sandy Beaches Cruise, having spent a week on a boat with the likes of John Hiatt, Fred Eaglesmith, Marcia Ball, Wayne Toups, Chris Knight, and Billy Joe Shaver, all who also play at the Hall on a regular basis. But back on dry land, a re-inspired Delbert wil no doubt be giving his best roadhouse performance, setting the bar for his future gigs in 2005. Get your tickets early, as this show is always a sell-out. get tickets

Cory Morrow was born in 1972 in Houston, Texas. He started playing guitar while he was a cheerleader at Memorial High School, in west suburban Houston. Cory graduated from Memorial and attended Texas Tech until 1993 when he decided to move to Austin, Texas to write and play music full-time. Since then, he's developed a large enough following of high shool and college age Texans to claim runner up status to Pat Green in regional popularity. At 32, he's already released 6 albums, and shows no sign of slowing down. Get your tickets early!

Green, Gruene
**********************

Tom Green stopped by Gruene Hall this month to do some filming for his "most interesting person search",  a segment that appears on the Tonight Show once a month. The searches are divided into states, and the Texas segment airs this Wednesday night (Jan. 26), right after Jay Leno's monologue. Other tapings this month include a student film production with the band Cooder Graw, who return for a Friday night performance on Feb. 12th.  get tickets

vvvFeb. 25th  (tickets at the door)

Ray Wylie's got a new cd  just released called Delirium Tremolos -(DT's?).  Taking it in a different direction for his latest project, he's recorded his interpretations of some of his favorite songs written by other songwriters,, such as "The Beauty Way" (Eliza Gilkyson), "Rock and Roll Gypsies" (Roger Tillison),  "This Mornin' I Am Born Again" (Woody Guthrie), and James McMurtry's "Choctaw Bingo". Hubbard also enlists the help of Cody Canada and Jack Ingram on seperate tunes, making this release an all around melting pot of talent, covering the spectrum from the legendary Guthrie, to incorporating the talent of the new generation of songwriters and players.  Come to the show and pick up your copy, or pick it up at http://www.raywylie.com/  and bring it with you to the show.
