Gary P. Nunn is a former Lost Gonzo Band member, he's the author of London Homesick Blues, he's the current leader of the Sons of the Bunkhouse Band..... and now he's an official Ambassador of Texas Music, as proclaimed by Rick Perry at the South by Southwest Festival this year. Congratulations Gary! Gary will also be a part of a real special DVD Concert recording on Aug. 4th at the Majestic Theater in Dallas. He'll perform alongside early Texas troubadours MICHAEL MARTIN MURPHEY, RUSTY WIER, BILL & BONNIE HEARNE with MIKE HEARNE.  Come hear him on the Gruene Hall stage on July 7th.

Reckless Kelly whose roots go back to Idaho and Oregon, now hail from Austin and is comprised of guitarist David Abeyta, drummer Jay Nazz, and bassist Jimmy McFeeley, and multi-instrumentalists Cody and Willy Braun, with the latter Braun brother also serving as lead vocalist. For those that wonder, the name comes from a 1993 Australian comedy film, a satirical take on a modern day Ned Kelly, an outlaw who is forced to rob banks in order to make enough money to save his family's land. Reckless Kelly (the band)'s, latest release is "Reckless Kelly Was Here",  a 3-disc live CD/DVD combo. You can pick one up at their Gruene Hall show or order a copy from their website.   Electric bluesman Shawn Pittman opens the show.  Tickets available at the door only for this one.

Forever immortalized  in neon through his Bud Light sponsorship, Roger's country voice can be heard on jukeboxes all across Texas....and in Mexico. He's just back from a successful gig in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico where he headlined  the "6th Annual Party South of the Border". He  should be in fine form when he stops at Gruene Hall on July 21st to celebrate his 35th birthday with his favorite crowd. This show will sell out so get your tickets early! Get Tickets

Walt Wilkins, the legendary Texas songwriter and his new group of exceptionally talented musicians The Mystiqueros, will release their debut album, DIAMONDS IN THE SUN, at Gruene Hall on July 28th. Walt recently signed with Tex-centric label Palo Duro Records, who will also re-issue three of Wilkins' earlier albums, RIVERTOWN, MUSTANG ISLAND, and HOPEWELL.. The Mystiqueros are Walt Wilkins, John Greenberg, Marcus Eldridge, Bill Small, and Ramon Rodriguez. Live performances by the band are already drawing comparisons to The Eagles, Poco, The Lost Gonzo Band, and Crosby, Stills & Nash and Young. Don't miss this special CD release show! Fat Caddy Records' Austin Collins will open the show.
