Free Shows Highlights for March

Thu. Mar. 10th - Walt Wilkins and the Mystiqueros play their 1st Thursday gig on the 2nd Thursday this time. Just to keep things interesting. It's ALWAYS a great show with the Mystiqueros and their special guests, so come on out!

Sun. Mar. 13th - Long time Gruene Hall musician Rob Roy Parnell celebrates the half century mark with a big 50th birthday bash at the Hall on Mar. 13th. Brother LeRoy Parnell will make a special guest appearance, along with many others that have played with RR throughout his 30 year career. This will be one for the books so don't miss out.

Sun. Mar. 20th - Bill Kirchen is one of the greatest Telecaster guitar players around and he surrounds his playing with great honky tonk originals, along with a few choice cover songs. Most people know Bill for his stint with Commander Cody, and his version of the hit song, "Hot Rod Lincoln."  Others know him from the  incredible shows that he has put on at the Hall over the years. Opening for Bill, are Cowboy and Indian, a fairly new alt-country band that featues Jesse Plemons, who played Landry Clarke in the hit tv series, Friday Night Lights.

Wed. Mar. 30th - Jeff Strahan is somewhat new to the Texas music scene but he's soon to be a driving force in the Americana scene. His music is upbeat and bluesy, but he can write a pretty ballad too. No matter what you call it, one thing for sure is that Jeff has something to say, and you should definitely pick up one of his new CD's at his CD releast at the Hall on Mar. 30th.
